Train Ride to Seattle

Irie and I came home a few days early from hunting to go to Seattle. My mom and dad had gone to Seattle to help my uncle with some things around his house. My mom was having a hard time with Irie being gone for so long and really wanted us to go to Seattle whit her and my dad. So we decided that if we could ride home with Cally and the boys then Irie and I would rid the train to Seattle to meet my mom and dad. My mom had said that if she got everything done that she needed to then we would go to the zoo on Monday. So that is what happened. Irie and I came home on Saturday with Cally and the boys, and first thing Sunday morning we got on the train to Seattle. It was fun I haven’t ridden the train since I was little and didn’t really remember it. So I was excited about it. It was about a 3 and a half hour rid. Irie did really good she got a little restless so we walked down to the food car and sat there for a few minutes. And then not long after we go back to our seat she fell asleep and slept for a little over and hour.

In the food car on the telling me that she is one.

Hunting

Hunting? What can I say, I grew up in a family where I really only remember tent

camping once, and the dozen or so other times I remember going camping was in a

Yert, and generally right in a town, like the beach or something. So I didn’t really know

what to expect going hunting an hour and a half off of I-84; basically in the middle of

nowhere. But I was trying to have an open mind. I knew that Irie and I would probably

be riding up there with Corey and Tawnya (Carson’s Parents). And because I wouldn’t

be driving, I would be at the mercy of who ever was driving to go home when they

did. I had it in my head that we would be gone for 2 weeks or so. I was a little worried

about how Irie would sleep not being in her bed and in a strange place. And I was a little

worried about what I was going to do sitting in camp all day, never having to stay in

camp. But other then that nothing major.

So we went on our first family hunting trip and I have to admit that I really did have a

good time. I got a little bored during the day, but not too bad. We took a bunch of

games, I took my cookbook that I was putting together, Irie and I would lie down and

nap together. Carson and I took a quad ride a few times and for the most part I kept

myself entertained.

This is just a cute one from before we left

We stopped at Cousin’s in The Dalles for breakfast on the
way up that is where the cow and pig are.

She is so proud of climbing up in the stroller by herself

Tanner Filled that truck with sticks, and pop cans all week

Going on a ride with Daddy, (It was only like 10 feet and a mile an hour).

Chillin in Tanner's chair

Playing in the empty pool with Hudson and Mr. Potatohead

I just like the look on Hudson’s face in this one

Wearing Tanner's goggles

She started doing this head thing while we were up there and I am not totally sure what it was about, except maybe watching other people laugh and throwing their heads back when they laugh. I noticed myself and Carson doing that, that week

We took stuff up for Christmas pictures and this one was my test shot and
Tanner had just hurt his finger that is what he is showing us.

This has got to be my favorite picture of Shotgun and Irie

I think this picture is cute of the Kids I think
it looks like Tanner is giving Irie a kiss

Just a cute pic

Irie figured out that she could give
Shotgun stick so that is what this is

and this is the look on her face when he took it

thriving growing out or something old and decaying

A Duckie Celebration

The day of Irie’s party finally arrived, it was a nice day, not to hot like it could be at the end of August. I spent most of the day at Carson’s parents’ house getting everything ready. Mainly the cakes, they took most of the day but they turned out really cute…. If I do say so myself. The kids had fun in the pool with all the rubber duckies that were in the pool. There were a ton of people that came to celebrate the day, and all the work was totally worth it.

Showing off her duck

Look at all the ducks in Tanners arms

Tanner and some ducks

The Cake I worked all day on. This was the one for everyone.
The bottom cake was a Costco cake that I decorated.

A closer view of the ducks on the side.

Irie's Cake

The look on her face cracks me up.
