Pregnancy Update

That I finally get around to doing this... I know it is a shocker that it has taken me so long, but I guess I really don't have that much to report. But here goes nothing.

Ok so first things first we had our ultra sound 7 weeks ago and DID NOT find out if this baby is a boy or a girl but with the exception of 3 people (Carson included), everyone thinks this baby is a girl. I have thought it was a girl since I found out and called “her” a “she” since the beginning. So If I say “She” that is just that way I talk about my baby. And to answer the newly FAQ If this baby is a boy then I have truly given him a complex by calling him a girl for the first several months of its life. (Please don’t argue with me weather or not the last few months have been “Life” or not. Being a hormonal pregnant lady I just might freak out on you JK)

So, I am just about 26 weeks in my pregnancy and I love it. As far as typical pregnancy symptoms are concerned I really can't complain. I haven't really had any heart burn (which many have told me to watch out for, especially since I have been CRAVING mainly spicy chicken burritos from Taco bell, Or just Mexican in general.) I haven’t fully gotten used to Baby moving around, don’t get me wrong I love that too, but every once in a while it throws me for a loop. It is WEIRD, but in a cool way. Baby is moving a lot these days. Some lucky people have been able to feel her kick and move. Carson pokes at my, ever growing, stomach and gets her to start moving but then when he puts his hand on my stomach she stops moving. I think it is because he pushes to hard, but who knows.

Then there is Shotgun, Our 100 lbs black lab, he’ll come and plop down on the bed next to me and almost always the baby will start moving. I don’t know if it is a case where Shotgun plopping down next to me is enough of a jostling that it wakes her up, or if it is because she can hear Shotgun’s heart beat and that gets her excited, or maybe it is a little of both. But either way she likes Shotgun.

Another funny occurrence is, (and it has happened a couple of times now) She is totally Carson’s baby. I have been out shopping and running errands and she has been somewhere in the middle of me all day, and then We will walk into Fisherman’s or Sportsman’s, and start talking about fishing stuff and all of a sudden she is right there in front trying to push her way out. Like it starts to hurt she is pushing so hard. It makes us laugh. And about the only other time she pushes that hard on my stomach is when I am in the shower. I have started referring to her as out little water baby (Which Carson’s mom has always called Carson her water baby too, so I think it is funny).

The ONLY pregnancy thing I can complain about is I have a pinched nerve in my right hip area that causes my leg to fall asleep really easily and causes one of the muscles in the top of my butt to cramp, which is annoying. But other then that I can’t complain at all.

Other news … sort of… Baby shower… or should I say Baby Showers as of now it looks like I am having at least 3 different baby showers. One is before the baby is born, and 2 after. One of the ones after is strictly family since we both have really large extended families. But I need addresses to send out invitations. So if you would like to come I need an address. So if August rolls around and you still haven’t gotten an invite don’t fret there will be a shower after the baby is born probably sometime in September.

Ewww, the pinched nerve. Not so fun! But, as you said, things could be worse, I'm glad you are enjoying your pregnancy! Where's a preggo picture?? I can't believe you are already 26 weeks. Craziness! I'll email you my address... if I remember... if I forget, send my invite to my moms house... you still know that address right??
